In March, an 18-member delegation from Yale University and the University of Oxford visited Shenzhen as part of a research project on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. The delegation, together with faculty and students from Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University, visited several outstanding multinational companies including Tencent, Huawei and Minicute.
From Minicute' ergonomic health products to Tencent' WeChat and QQ and Huawei' smart-home technologies, the delegation gained a fresh understanding of Chinese innovation and experienced leading ergonomic and technology products.
At Minicute' Foshan assembly center, students from Yale and Oxford showed great interest in products such as Minicute lumbar supports, Ezmouse ergonomic mice and Smartdesk desktop workstations. They actively participated in product assembly and testing, and praised the creativity and practicality of Minicute products.
After experiencing the products, the delegation became interested in Minicute' development as an innovative company founded in 2007 with ergonomics as its research philosophy. In the conference room, students asked Minicute CEO Robin Zhu about product development concepts, company vision and social responsibility. Zhu gave detailed answers on ergonomics and the company' growth.
The Yale-Lingnan and Oxford-Lingnan global leadership projects focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Minicute' selection as a case-study company reflected recognition from Oxford, Yale and Lingnan College of its social responsibility and leadership in ergonomics. Minicute will continue responding to this recognition through better products and a stronger commitment to making people healthier and more efficient.
