Steven Cheung: Shenzhen Will Become an Economic Center

1970-01-01

Remember what I said: the land you are standing on now, Shenzhen, will one day become the economic center of the entire world. This striking view from renowned economist Steven Cheung once again drew attention after his speech titled Is Shenzhen a Phenomenon?

Cheung is widely regarded as one of the most important Chinese scholars in institutional economics and property-rights economics. He is known for his academic work and his close exchanges with several Nobel Prize winners. His book The Theory of Share Tenancy once made a major impact in Western economics.

In his speech, Cheung expressed strong confidence in Shenzhen' future. Beyond his view of the city' prospects, he has long had a special connection with Shenzhen and has visited the city many times for exchange, guidance and research. During one of these visits, he met Minicute CEO Robin Zhu.

Cheung' dedication to truth echoes Minicute' long-standing persistence in ergonomics. Since 2007, Minicute has focused deeply on ergonomic theory and professional product development, aiming to become a leading brand in the industry.

Over more than a decade, Minicute has developed and upgraded ergonomic office desks and chairs, desktop workstations, lumbar supports, vertical mice and computer-office accessories. The company has built a complete research, production and sales system and is moving closer to its vision of making people healthier and more efficient.

Cheung highly praised Shenzhen Minicute Technology and affirmed its development direction. His inscription Calmness Fosters Aspiration became a meaningful encouragement for Minicute to stay true to its mission and continue working deeply in ergonomics.
